According to a report from Montreal, Canada's rubber manufacturing industries are working full time, due chiefly to an unprecedented demand for motorvehicle tyres. Imports of raw rubber during the 12 months ended July 31st last were 45,509,551 lb., as compared with 37,224,426 lb. in the preceding year. The value of raw rubber imports rose from 14,480,321 dollars to 31,286,010 dollars.
