Chrysler's largest ever home order calls for 3,271 Dodge Spacevans and 75 Dodge KC60 Walk-Thru vans. In addition, 59 Avenger estate cars and 11 Hunter saloons will be supplied.
The telecommunications division will take 2.071 of the Spacevans, all fitted with Chrysler 1.72 litre petrol engines. The Walk-Thrus, fitted with Perkins 4.236 diesels, and the remaining Spacevans (fitted with Perkins 1.75 litre diesels) will be red postal vans.
There are over 15,000 Dodges already in service with the Post Office.
