LT.-COMDR. J. W. HAVERS, A.M. I. Mech. E., M.I.E.C, , who was recently elected chairman of A.R.O., and re-elected chairman of the Ancillary Users' Sectional Board, was educated at the Royal Naval Colleges Osborne and Dartmouth, served in the Royal Navy until 1917, when he was lent to the Royal Air Force, and, later, recalled to the Navy. Retiring in 1919, he occupied several positions in the automobile and engineering trades, and in 1931 went to John Mowlem and Co., Ltd., where he is now mechanical engineer in charge. He is one of the few men holding aeronaut's and airship pilot's certificates, having flown airships during the last two years of the war. We trust that he will soon return to business.

MR. E. Winnitons has reverted to the municipal side of the industry by joining Cox and Co., of Leeds, which is a distributor for the products of Karrier Motors for the major part of Yorkshire. During the past two months this company has obtained orders for Karrier municipal vehicles from Skipton, Denby Dale, Todmorden, Thirsk, Castleford and Hull.
