• A Turkish truck driver is to appear at Warwick Crown Court following a fatal crash in Warwickshire. He is charged with the death by dangerous driving of a cyclist and other motoring offences.
John Tibbs, 35, from Leamington Spa died instantly when he was hit by the truck driven by Ibrahim Sagiam, as he cycled aiongthe Tachbrook Road in Leamington Spa.
Police are still appealing for witnesses to the accident, which occurred close to the junction with Queensway at around 1.35pm on Friday 23 May.
A Warwickshire police spokeswoman says: In particubar, we want to trace the driver of a white van or minibus who It is believed was flagged down by the truck driver to ask directions, shortly before the collision occurred. At that point, the truck was parked at the side of the road with Its hazard lights on."
