SOME 12,000 road haulage workers in ' Ulster are to receive a wages increase. The Amalgamated Transport and General Workers' Union announced last week that the Road Haulage Wages Council will issue proposals to grant an increase of 10s. a week to adult workers in the industry.

Varying proposals to grant increases to workers under 21 will also be issued by the Council.

Under these proposals workers under 16 will receive 4s. a week; 16-17, 6s.; 17-18, 7s.; 18-19, 8s. and 19-20, 9s.
