A carburetter conversion kit has been developed by Zenith Carburetter for application to Ford Transit models powered by a V4 2-litre petrol engine. Price: £12.50.

Made by: The Zenith Carburetter Co Ltd, Honeypot Lane, Stanmore, Middlesex, HA7 lEG. in line and driven by a doubleended crankshaft. There is no metal-to-metal contact and the seal is made by wet Viton cups that are cooled and lubricated by the pumped fluid. Fluid flow is unidirectional, giving high pumping efficiency.

Internal innovations in the latest models include a piston rod of new design. The sleeve is accessible from the front end (farthest from the crankshaft) and the whole pumping section can be replaced in about 15 min without dismantling the crankcase, the only tools needed being a spanner and a pair of pliers.
