THE Motor Vehicles (Driving Licences) Regulations, 1950, have been amended with effect from January 1. For the purposes of driving tests and licences, the expression " agricultural tractor " is re-defined primarily by reference to the user of the vehicle rather than, as at present, to the classification of the vehicle for taxation purposes_
The new definition reads, "agricultural tractor means a motor tractor as defined in Section 2 of the Road Traffic Act, 1930, and used primarily for work on land in connection with agriculture."
