Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

The Motor and Cycle Trades Benevolent Fund (BEN) is facing the worst financial crisis in its 70-year history, and looks like having a £65,000 deficit this year.

Chief executive Colin Cudlipp is appealing for E10 from every trader in the motor and agricultural engineering business. Otherwise it looks as though the Fund's two homes at Lynwood and Birch Hill for the disabled and elderly will have to cut back severely. And that would be a shame, wouldn't it ?

There's no bar whatever on donations from people not in the motor trade itself, if I may drop the hint. But please send any contributions, direct to BEN at Lynwood, Sunninghill, Ascot, Berks, and not to CM.
