A ROAD development scheme, to cost 11 about £59,100, has been approved by the Minister of Transport for the Scarborough district. Local unemployment will be reduced by improvements to the Scarborough-Whitby road at Blacksmith Hill and the Flask Inn, near Fylingdales. A 75 per cent. grant towards the cost has been offered by the Ministry.
