FORMER National Freight Corporation executive director George Gibb has joined Kwikasair as a member of the board.
Mr Gibb was the founding managing director of Freightliners and also the company's chairman. He became a member of the executive board of the NFC with particular responsibility for Pickfords and the container/ferry companies.
Kwikasair is part of the Australian Thomas Nationwide Transport Group.
The appointment of Mr GRA) to the company comes as a surprise following his retirement from the NFC in 1975.
Former Freight Transport Association technical committee chairman Fred Potts, who has been elected chairman of the FTA traffic committee, is the first man to have chaired both committees.

Miss Evan-Jones has worked for Western SMT for six years and joined from Aberdeen University as a conductress.
