Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

After a long delay the French commisSioners have accepted the terms of the American Government for the whole of the American Army material now lying in France, the value of which is estimated to be £200,000,000. Included in this material are 60,000 motor vehicles and about 20,00 motorcycles. The French Government will take these over and dispose of them to the best advan

tage. It does not necessarily follow that all these vehicles will remain in France; the FTench Government has the right to sell them wherever it finds a market, and probably numbers of them will go into European countries in urgent need of motor transportation. The exact figures to be paid by France for this leftover American war material have not yet been issued, and will not be known until a report is loade to Parliament, but tha New York Herold states that the total arnount tO be paid will be approximately £60,000,000.
