RITISH RAILWAYS' Speedfreight conta:ner service, run experimentally for about a year, started regular operation on Monday. One train in each direction will run on six nights a week between London (Camden) and Manchester (Ardwick South) carrying 10-ton door-to-door containers; C. and D. will be within 20 miles at each end, and contracts have been arranged with customers who include J. Lyons, Brooke Bond and McVitie and Price.
