• P&O Ferrymasters is dropping its appeal against fines totalling £9,500 imposed for drivers' hours ofnces. In May Ipswich magistrates convicted P&O Ferrymasters on 18 charges of failing to use tachographs properly on vehicles run by eight of its drivers.
