Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

KING Trailers Ltd of Market Herborough, has introduced a new range of multi-axle extending trailers.

The basic range comprises three models: a tri-axle 45 tonne • payload unit with one self-tracking axle, a four-axle 60-tonne unit with two rear self-tracking axles and a five-axle 70-tonne unit also with two rear self-tracking axles.

These King multi-axles also offer the facility to uprate the basic 45-tonne and 60-tonne units into 60 and 70-tonne units respectively by means of a "plug in" self-tracking rear axle.

Each unit is 2.49m (8 ft) wide and can be operated at 12.2m (40ft) overall in the closed condition. With the addition of a "plug in" axle, this will extend beyond 12.2m.

For abnormally long loads, each unit lengthens up to 17.7m (58ft).

Basic units and "plug in" variants feature the King lightweight Hydroride liquid suspension providing a capacity of up to 12.5 tonnes per axle plus the advantages of load sensing, improved maintenance, ride and "rampability".

All units, basic and derivatives, are designed to operate within C and U regulations, to conform with the new EEC braking laws effective on October 1 and with the anticipated implementation of the Armitage recommendations on trailer dimensions.
