Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

THE Bartrum Group, the Diss, Norfolk, haulage company, is now operating 12 trailers fitted with new axles specially designed by Rubery Owen-Rockwell to take lightweight Aloca alloy wheels.

The principal benefit is that on each tractive unit/trailer cornbination using alloy wheels, Bartrum is able to achieve a weight saving of 0.25 ton. Thus the trailers are able to carry a heavier payload.

In addition, the wheels are machine finished on all surfaces and the consequential true running can have the effect of increasing tyre life.

The TM/T22510/ZMX(A) axle incorporates longer wheel bolts and deeper hub spigots to accommodate the alloy wheel's thicker naves.

Bartrum has also fitted 70 of its trailer fleet with RO-R's Anchorlok ES trailer spring brake system, primarily for safety reasons, although speed and convenience when parking were also important considerations.
