THE FUTURE of Seddon Atkinson was still unclear as we closed for press this week, although a company spokesman confirmed that discussions are still taking place with potential buyers.
He confirmed that "four or five" companies are interested in buying the company from International Harvester, its United States parent which is in financial difficulty, but could not elaborate on this, beyind saying that talks are continuing. Meantime, the company pressing ahead with its nevi model development programme, and this week unveils its 201 16-tonner (see p13), which extends 401 technology to , the bottom end of its model range.
