• With the object of providing complete vehicle checks on the same lines as those conducted at Ministry Testing Stations, a new test centre has been opened by Hills Garages (Manchester) Ltd. It is situated at Tarriff Street, just behind the company's premises on the corner of Great Ancoats and Port Streets.
In the course of an hour trained examiners will carry out a full inspection covering over 300 different items. Equipment includes a roller brake tester, a dynamometer and weight checking instruments.
