THE third Routemaster prototype bus is likely to be placed in service within a few weeks at the Willesden garage of London Transport on the Alperton—Old Ford route. It will be the first of two Leyland models with 9.8-litre engines, and will have semiautomatic transmission and powerassisted steering. The Weymann body will incorporate heaters.
