Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

Rostron, that bus services where the routes have been extended are so popular that, in one week alone, routes to the Bathing Pool took £360 more than in the corresponding week last year, when it was necessary to change buses for the journey.

In September. said Mr. Rostron, the service took £300 more than in the same period last year. In the first two weeks of October, the increases were £140 and £180. Such was the popularity, said Mr. Rostron, that many more duplicates were being run and a meeting would be held with the staff, to consider suggestions aimed at overcoming these difficulties and meeting the demand.

The undertaking, forecast Mr. Rostron, might have a surplus at the end of the current financial year of about £4,500. Another new experimental service, Mr. Rostron told the committee, took only £13 9s. in September. This was very disappointing, he said, and he could not understand why it had been so poorly patronized. It was decided to continue the service for another month,
