ABOUT £8m. is proposed to be spent by London County Council's town planning committee ,in the next two years. Schemes include the conversion of the Kingsway tunnel into a Strand underpass (£800,000), link roads at Victoria (£715,000) and improvements to the southern approach to Waterloo Bridge (£520,000), to Old Street and, City Road intersection (£2.38m.) and Gardiner's Corner junction at Stepney (£920.000).
