MR, N. A. SLATER has been appointed commercial manager of the Pollard Ball and Roller Bearing group of companies.
CAPT. E. W. PORTER, general manager, Drake Motors, Ltd., Plymouth, one of the Western Motor Holdings Group, has keen elected to the hoard of Drake Motors.
MR, A. W. ALLEN, a director of Atkinson Vehicles, Ltd., is in Australia, and will be returning in approximately two weeks' time. MR. /3: F. CAUNT, managing director of Atkinson Vehicles, is in South Africa and will return in about a week's time.

MR. P. A. ROBINSON has been appointed. chief, engineer, Thames Valley Traction Co., Ltd. •_He is at present chief engineer, Cumberland Motor Services, Ltd. Mr. Robinson will take, up.his new appointment on January 1, next. He began his career in 1941 with Leyland Motors, Ltd., and after Forces service during the war went to the central works of the Birmingham and Midland Motor Omnibus Co., Ltd. In 1949 he was appointed an executive assistant in the works manager's office of the London Transport Executive. In 1951 he became assistant chief engineer, United Automobile Services, Ltd., and in 1956 was appointed to his present position. MR. L. COLTMAN has been appointed to the board of directors of Moto Plastics, Ltd, MR. R. ADAMS, MR. J. A. P. COE, MR. L. I. FIELD, MR. A. F. MacDorlaro and MR. J. W. Maclvlauota have been appointed to the board of John B. Pillin, Ltd., a member of the Castrol Group. Two additional directors have also been appointed to the board of Castrol (Ireland), Ltd. They are MR. L. A. COURTNEY and MR. E. E. HUGHES.
MR. K. D. VICK. London manager of Cranes (Dereham), Ltd., has been appointed a director.
MR. F. BASTOW, managing director of Dowty, Ltd., and MR. S. HINCHLIFF, production director, have been visiting Malta to conclude initial arrangements for setting up a factory there.
MR. S. KEMRALL has been appointed deputy chairman, University Motors, Ltd. MR. M. H. G. BRADSTOCK assumes the joint managing directorship. MR. G. C. DURTNAL, director in charge of University Commercials and Coachwork, is also to control the service organization of University Marine.
