Germany increased by 6.5% in 1988 to 409,550 units. Daimler-Benz sales improved by 6.4% and MAN's by 9.3%. Daimler-Benz has a 26% share of the CV market: 17% for trucks under six tonnes, 65% of trucks between six and 16/17 tonnes, and 52% for trucks over 16/17 tonnes, plus 40% of the bus market. MAN's market share overall was 4.6%: 0.1% for small trucks, 13.5% for mediumsized trucks, 27% for heavy trucks and 15.6% for buses.
