If a motion from South Yorkshire PTE employees is carried at Nalgo's annual conference in Blackpool in June, the association will insist that passenger transport is hired only from operators who recognise a TUCaffiliated union for their employees.
The Government will also be urged to put into effect a national scheme for free bus passes at off-peak periods for old-age pensioners.
On a more serious note, a resolution will insist that National Executive Council delegates and their guests at the annual conference should pay for their own booze.
