LEYLAND has challenged 150,000 operators of vehicles under 7.5 tonnes gvw to try their luck with a demonstration of the Leyland Terrier, with a free bottle of wine thrown in.
The offer applies if the operators send in a reply-paid card. They will then be sent an ignition key and told that the bottle of wine will follow.
A salesman in the Leyland Terrier will present the wine and if the ignition key fits the vehicle the operator will be invited to test drive the lorry.
If a haulier then decided to buy a Terrier he is given a voucher worth £100 to be presented against the services of a distributor.
