The Works Committee of the Marylebone Borough Council reports that it has considered (4uotations for the_Asupply of two new tipping bodies for the two Straker-Squire motor chassis, the purchase of which was authorized by the council at the last meeting, and is recommending acceptance of the tender of the Eagle Engineering Co., Ltd., of Warwick, to , supply two tipping bodies for the sum of £200 106. each. This company has already supplied bodies which have proved very satisfactory. The amount provided in the estimates for the supply of two lorries was £2,000. Of this sum 21,200 has been expended in the purchase of the two Straker-Squire chassis already mentioned, and, after allowing for the cost of the new tipping bodies now recommended for acceptance, a sum of £579 is left, to meet the cost of converting two Austin lorries for use by the works department for cartage.
