Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

THE FREIGHT TRANSPORT Association (FTA), with the Noise Abatement Society and the Department for Transport, is inviting retailers and logistics firms to take part in a Quiet Deliveries Demonstration Scheme.

Pilot schemes will be run at six different locations, and will look to explore a range of measures including driver and store staff training, quiet vehicle and handling equipment technologies, and noise mitigation measures at the point of delivery.

FTA head of policy for London Natalie Chapman says. "We are tookIng to show that journey times, fuel economy and air quality, as well as stock turnaround, can be improved without affecting local residents rights to a good nights sleep.'' She adds: "By developing guidelines and processes, the scheme aims to make out-ofhours deliveries a feasible sustainability measure to be considered by local authorities and help with the wider adoption of curfew relaxation.'
