a Volvo B1OM chassis, as part of an order for five NCbodied Volvo double-deckers for Derby City Transport.
The Volvo body has 75 Promar seats and room for 16 standees. It comes with a single front entrance and forward staircase behind the driving position.
To help cut vandalism, Northern Counties has fitted inwardfacing seats at the rear of the upper deck. The body has an alloy subframe and aluminium exterior panelling.
The first example of the NC-bodied Volvo BlOM chassis, which is powered by the mid-mounted THD101GB engine, rated at 162kW (217hp), was shown at the company's open day at Wigan last week.
