A FURTHER fifteen 12m (40ft)-long refrigerated trailers have been sold by Crane Fruehauf Overseas Ltd to Et Ve Balik Kuruna of Ankara, Turkey. The trailers are fitted with special galvanized metal lining, rails and hooks for the carriage of meat and fish.

To cope with the wide temperature changes encountered in the trailers' normal area of operation — which ranges from Saudi Arabia to Western Europe — the vans are insulated with 125mm (4.92 in)-thick foam and equipped with Westinghouse NWD 50 refrigeration units.

The taridem-axle, frameless vans are built to TIR specification and have a payload of 21,000kg (46,2971bs). They will join 10 othersimilar trailers also supplied by Crane Fruehauf to the Stateowned Turkish company.
