AT THE Frankfurt Show in ti weeks' time, York will be
hibiting a disc braked axle c signed specifically for trai use.
Developed in conjunction w another manufacturer the sembly uses a York axle bt especially to take its brake co ponent.
York claims that the disc bre concept will give better braki performance and reduce ma tenance costs.
The caliper assembly is fill with pad wear indicator p which permit the wear to checked without the need to move the wheels.
York also claims that the d brake assembly can be acco modated with a 19.5 wheel well as a 22.5.
Apart from being exhibited a display axle on the York ste at Frankfurt the disc brake sembly will also be shown oi tri-axle York Freightmaster.
Following Frankfurt, the d brakes Freightmaster will dergo extensive road trials countries as far apart as Sp and Finland.
