• Colectolease was launched in June as Britain's first refuse collection-vehicle contract-hire scheme by finance group High land Leasing and vehicle supplier Jack Allen. Now they are bidding for several local author ity deals.

Highland Leasing's David Turner says a number of tenders have been submitted, but no orders have yet been won.

The specialist scheme offers five-year packages on all Jack Allen Colectrnatic vehicles (CM 23 June).
