A NEW Dundee-Rotterdam ro/ro service is being introduced as soon as possible by a new company Dundee Ferries, formed by Dundee Port Authority and European Freight Lines which operates a service between Tilbury and Rotterdam.
The service will use the Dundee Authority's £500,000 ro/ro facility which was built in 1979 and never used because of the problem of finding a suitable partner over the intervening years.
It will be located at Eastern Wharf Dundee where terminal arrangements are being completed.
