Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

The probable sale as a going concern of the business of Commercial Cars, Ltd., of Luton, who melee the wellknown range of Commer Car commercial vehicles, to a company which is subsidiary to Humber, Ltd., of Coventry, was being discussed in the industry some months ago. We have been kept well informed as to the progress of negotiations and knew that the matter was not ripe for announcement until, and if, the High Courts gave its sanction to the sale; in fact, as the matter had only been made known to us in confidence, any reference to it in our columns would have been a breach of faith.

We are now authorized by Mr. H. Tansley Witt, who has been filling the important position of receiver and manager of Commercial Cars, Ltd., to state that in the Chancery Division of the High Court Mr. Justice Tomlin, on Tuesday of last week, sanctioned the sale, and effect will be given to this at the earliest possible moment. Negotiations will doubtless be completed before the end of November.

It has not been possible in the cireumstancea to arrange for an exhibit of Commer Cars at the Olympia Show, but premises have been taken at 11, Hammersmith Road (just opposite Olympia) where several of the products of the company are available for inspection.

We are very glad indeed to know that the negotiations with the Humber Co. have ended so satisfactorily, and we look forward to. Commercial Cars enjoying ' an entirely new lease of life. Their products have always been good, having an excellent name amongst users, and in recent years every effort has been made to bring them fully up to date.
