Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

'DOUR interesting models are shown by this Ipswich concern, electricity being the motive power in all cases, excepting, of course, the trailer.

Equipped as a refuse collector is a 3i-ton "Orwell" electric tipping wagon. The driver's cab is provided with a glass screen, but is not totally enclosed. The upper portion of the body sides are hinged and the tailboard is in two pieces. A wooden buffer bar is provided in front of the cab. Tipping is by separate electric motor, or it can be manually operated if desired.

Two motors are used in this chassis and each drives by chain to one rear wheel. Both brakes work in drums in the rear wheels, and the axle is 1pcated by means of adjustable radius rods.

Known as the C11 model is an industrial electric truck which has two motors mounted on the front axle, these being carried by semi-ellipitic springs. The rear of the vehicle, however, is not sprung. The load-carrying platform is of the elevating type, electrically operated.

Coming to the electric runabout crane, this has no fewer than eight wheels, of these two are in front and two behind, these four attending to the steering. The other four are mounted in line under the centre of the chassis. This wheel arrangement is claimed to give a comparatively small load per wheel, and enables the crane to be manoeuvred in the minimum of space. All controls are close to the driver, who has the load carried on the crane hook always in front of him. On each side of the vehicle are the batteries. The weight of the Ransom crane is either 31 tons or 4 tons, according to the model concerned.

The trailer is finished in bright red and is mounted on single solid tyres. Both axles are of square seetion, and the rear wheels carry drums for the external contracting brakes, operated by

cable from the towing vehicle. The .sides of the body are hinged and the tailboard, of course, drops down. Ransomes, Sims and Jefferies; Ltd.,
