• Daf Trucks enjoyed a good year in 1985, both in this country and the rest of Europe, with profit more than twice that in 1984.
Overall, the company increased profit from 9.7 million guilders (22.56 million) in 1984, to 20.4 million guilders (25.4 million) in 1985, as turnover increased to 2,020 million guilders (E533 million) from 1,964 million guilders (2518 million) the previous year.
Daf Trucks (GB) achieved record sales, with 3,211 vehicles sold last year. There were sales increases in all Des market sectors, including tractors (up 14.1%), two axle trucks (up 6.9%), three axle trucks (up 8.7%) and four axle trucks (up 9.7%).
