• A rationalised joint service package has been put together by Stagecoach and Strathtay Scottish Omnibuses to operate on the DundeePerth route.
Tayside transport director, Neil Townend, said last week that, although some communities may have a slightly inferior service, the news for the communities overall is good.
Stagecoach and Strathtay intend to operate with deregulation on October 26, but hope to embark on their plans beforehand, providing they receive the approval of the Scottish Traffic Commissioners.
