A GROUP has been appointed by the 2-1 working party on the construction of vehicles of the inland transport committee of the Economic Commission for Europe, to consider standards of braking efficiency.
In many countries, official approval is required for certain vehicle parts, particularly headlights. To facilitate international trade, the governments of Western Germany, France, Italy and Holland have agreed upon reciprocal recognition of the " European " type of headlight, specifications for which have been drawn up. Other governments may also join in the approval of this equipment.
