Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

• Vauxhall has launched the Corsavan hot on the heels of the Corsa-derived Combo. There is a choice of two trim levels and two engines, one petrol and one diesel. The Corsavan threedoor body offers a 1.02m3 load volume and 400kg payload (395kg for petrol models) with a 75kg driver.

The engines are shared with the Combo, giving a choice of 45kW (60hp) 1.4litre petrol or 1.7-litre diesel. The 1.4-litre OHC petrol engine is equipped with single point fuel injection, mapped electronic ignition and three-way catalytic convertor. The 1.7litre indirection-injection diesel is developed from the 1.5-litre naturally aspirated Isuzu engine offered in the Corsa car range. A fivespeed manual gearbox is standard on all models. Front suspension is independent by MacPherson struts while the rear is compound crank with progressive rate conical minibloc springs. Anti-roll bars are fitted front and rear.

Inside, the load area has a half-height steel bulkhead with top mesh. The load floor is equipped with tiedown hooks and a mat. The load area is 1.23m long and 1.27m wide with 0.99m between the wheelarches. Maximum load height is 0.89m.

Standard features include central locking and security deadlocks. Safety equipment includes twin door side-impact beams, seatbelt tensioners and antisubmarining front seat cushions. A 67-litre driver's airbag is optional.

The base-level Merit trim includes front headrestraints, cigar lighter, door pockets and no-cost option cloth trim. LS trim also includes, a radio/cassette, clock, driver's seat height adjuster, carpeted cab and rear wash/wipe.

Prices start at £6,295 (ex-VAT) for the petrol Merit, rising to £7,097 (exVAT) for the diesel LS. Vauxhall expects to sell 2,500 Corsavans in 1994, 80% with diesel engines. Buyers are expected to range from public utilities to small businessmen.
