ALDER VALLEY is blaming a forthcoming fares increase on the recent rises in the price of derv.
In a message aimed at local newspapers, company general manager Brian Hirst said: "We have now reached a point where the only way we can maintain Alder Valley in a viable commercial position is to increase our prices.
'fhe company last increased its fares in line with inflation in January last year.
