Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

• A recent offer by SELNEC PTE to make available its computer system on inspectorate documentation to any passenger transport undertaking wishing to' use it, has met with a good response from all over the country.

The offer, made by Geoffrey Cockayne, Group Statistics Officer, at a recent seminar at the University of Leeds, was on condition that the results would be available for comparative purposes.

The SELNEC system uses a standard inspection sheet and programme, compatible with most computers.

If necessary, the computer itself can be hired by any transport organization at a minimal "time only" charge.

SELNEC is anxious to encourage the creation of a central data bank for improving the economic use of resources.

Any inquiries should be directed to Mr Harry Priestnell, Data Processing Manager, at SELNEC's Devonshire Street office, Manchester.
