• As from Wednesday, Pickfords International in Germany and France will be co-ordinated from Offenbach. The company has acquired Koenig and Fridel, an international haulier with branches in Giessen, Dillenburg and Paris. Pickfords is already established in Dusseldorf, Stuttgart and Hamburg. Koenig and Fridel had a turnover of 15,000,000 DM last year (£2,000,000). It employs 138 people who have now been offered new contracts of employment.
