a fleet of single-deck trolleybuses next month, Glasgow Corporation are seeking approval by the Sheriff of a by-law to permit a greater number of passengers to stand in the vehicles than the 10 allowed at present.
The new vehicles, 10 of which are on order, will seat 26 and have standing room for 40 passengers. One such model is already running in Glasgow and the Ministry of Transport gave a special dispensation concerning the number of standing passengers.
