• Jaguar Cars chairman chief executive John Egan has been elected as the nev chairman of the board of CCMC, the Committee of Common Market Automobil Constructors. He succeeds Carl Hahn, chairman of Volkswagen.
The CCMC was set up ti act as a liaison body betwec the European automobile manufacturers and the varic organisations of the Europe Community, and to represe industry views on the many economic, social and legislal matters which impinge upor them as European member: the worldwide motor manuf turing industry.
