LOCAL authorities in Perthshire are being asked by a neighbouring county council to pay their share of subsidies for bus services which cross into the county. Members of Fife and Kinross transportation working party heard last week that subsidies for rural bus services in the area, operated by W. Alexander and Sons (Fife) Ltd, would amount to £92,510 in the past year.
This figure is likely to rise to more than £100,000 in the current year.
