0. G. Barnard & Sons Ltd., Stowmarket, at Mendlesham airfield last Sunday, attracted 72 entries and proved a great success.
There were six tests: the first on the Highway Code and was run with the assistance of the East Suffolk Police Force, four were driving tests and the last a concours d'elegance, taking into account the age and cleanliness of the vehicles. Points were awarded and deducted in each test and a bonus of 10 gained for loaded vehicles. Owners paid entry fee, the only charge made for the day's entertainment, refreshments being provided free.
