entry in a log 1-1.sheet was told at Leeds Assizes, last week, when two men were charged with conspiring to pervert the cause of justice. Edward John Kennedy Hague, driver, of Sheffield, was sentenced to two months' imprisonment, and Thomas Orwin, also a driver, of Wharnecliffeside, was bound over for two years. It was stated that when driving his lorry for longer than the • statutory period, Hague entered Orwin's name in the log, and Orwin was summoned in respect of an accident in which Hague was involved. Orwin accepted the summons, and the Rotherham magistrates fined him in his absence.
