SANDBACH Engineering Company is considering fitting a Caterpillar engine in a Foden.
It is currently evaluating the potential for a Caterpillar-engined vehicle as some operators of Caterpillar-powered plant equipment have expressed interest in the idea.
The exact details of the engine are not known but it is believed to be in the 300 horsepower plus category.
Paccar already has experience of Caterpillar engines operating in the USA in Kenworth and Peterbilt chassis.
