• Golden Miller Services of Feltham, Middlesex, operating stage carriage services in the London Transport monopoly area, recently extended one of its routes based on Feltham Station to Bedfont Green. The route formerly ran from the station along Bedfont Lane to East Bedfcrit (Northumberland Crescent).

On Monday, January 13, the section of route from Staines Road to Northumberland Crescent was withdrawn and re-routed along Staines Road to Bedfont Green, returning via Hatton Road and New Road to Staines Road. The new service provides facilities for this rapidly developing residential area.

With the new extension, Golden Miller introduced a flat fare of 6d to bring the service into line with the company's Hanworth and Shepperton services (CM February 9 19681 and a fare box was introduced.
