A DRIVER who was struck by a car while changing a wheel was later struck by a bright idea while he was lying in hospital. He passed it on to Dunlop, which has produced the Sportflash armband.
This flashes eight intense red lights from a PP3 battery and in total darkness stands out a mile — literally. The armband is being sold in sports shops. It would give lorry drivers a sporting chance of not being injured when they stopped to check loads or tyres at night.
