" nURING the year, trading condi tions have become increasingly difficult, and the present prodaction capacity of the busand coach-building industry in the United Kingdom is well in excess of home requirements," says the annual report of Park Royal Vehicles, Ltd. "Export markets are becoming increasingly restricted because of the desireof so many countries in the world to give support. to the local production of their own bus bodies."
During the past seven years, Park Royal had built nearly .3,300 bus bodies for London Transport. The post-war replacement programme had now been completed, and there was little likelihood of orders from London Transport
during the forthcoming year. •
