• Pirelli Ltd is to open a foreman/fitter training centre at its Carlisle factory in September. It will be the only training school of its kind in the North of England.
The first course is to start on September 17, will be of one week's duration and will be open to all members of the National Tyre Distributors' Association. Nine foremen at a time will be catered for. The possibility of extending course eligibility to cover vehicle distributors and major Pirelli tyre users, such as large hauliers, is also being looked into by the company.
